At Pitti Filati, Tintoria Emiliana, MASPET and Cariaggi® are presenting a project/workshop that combines spinning, garment construction and dyeing research to create a contemporary take on knitwear.
Cariaggi’s cashmere and silk give rise to an exploration of materials inspired by the artistic languages of Cy Twombly, Lee Ufan and Julie Mehretu, where manual craftsmanship and colour transform every garment into a unique expressive surface.
From the mechanical memory of the Coppo machine to the contemporary construction of the garment’s identity.
