Marie Lueder & Tintoria Emiliana
Berlin Fashion Week, AW24
5 — 8 February 2024

Tintoria Emiliana meets Marie Lueder and contributes with a four-handed research to give a new life to a selection of garments for this edition of Berlin Fashion Week, AW24 / 5 – 8 February 2024. The dyeing customisations carried out by Tintoria Emiliana under the creative direction of Marie Lueder are the result of different manual applications with dyeing techniques and airbrush processing.

Marie Lueder founded her brand in 2019 as a performance space exploring new masculine identities. Her training as a men’s tailor at the Hamburg State Opera gave her the need for an emotional connection with her clients to create bespoke pieces. During her Masters studies in London at the Royal College of Arts, she developed her own style of design that empowers the wearer in an unsettling world. Her collections are a blend of sportswear and functional aesthetics, complemented by an attention to detail that reflects her passion for medieval silhouettes and bespoke tailoring, based on a desire for protection, freedom of expression, empowerment and an emphasis on individuality.

By using organic denim, recycled jersey and ECONylon, LUEDER contributes to the sustainability of the brand. Marie has worked with Yeezy Gap, 6PM and as a guest lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, among others. She has shown her collections several times at London Fashion Week. Most recently, she exhibited at Anna Wintour’s Vogue Talents at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich (June 2023).
