RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

When it comes to garment-dyed treatments, throughout the years, Tintoria Emiliana has made considerable investments in research and innovation, and has created a dedicated laboratory where new procedures are developed and new visual and colour effects created. This laboratory works with the Quality Control laboratory, which has already been operating for several years. The combination of two functions in a single structure has allowed us to optimize our research work as all the phases are monitored step by step. Our declared target is to create new treatments that are only proposed to our customers when the results achieved are able to provide the necessary Quality assurance.
Our laboratories are not just at the service of our enterprise but also, and above all, of those of our customers who wish to develop their own projects but with Tintoria Emiliana’s technical-scientific skills or who need to research and investigate the problems that may arise during the various phases of the textile manufacturing cycle. In such cases, we work together in order to achieve perfection and obtain the very best result.

To do this, we can provide you with:

- instrumental analysis (UV-VIS, HPLC, FT-IR spectrophotometry, capillary Gas Chromatography)
- chemical analysis (extractions by solvent, titration, thin layer chromatography, pH measurements and redox potentials)
- analysis of fabrics (colour fastness tests, dynamometric testing of the materials)
- dyeing and printing tests at micropilot and pilot level

..... and if the research work needs to be carried out at greater depth, Tintoria Emiliana can call upon the services of a vast network of important research organizations in order to conduct dedicated analyses, such as the determination of aromatic amines.

TEXTILE ANALYSES

To improve our quality standards, it became essential to establish our own laboratory for textile tests and analyses, one able to carry out all those inspections that are becoming increasingly more necessary if an end product, that will not be subject to complaints from the end users, is to be guaranteed. We make use of the advisory services of an out-sourced certifier, “CERTO S.r.l. Certificazioni Tessili”, to ensure that the evaluations of our processes and those of others are impartial. We are also able to conduct customized tests in relation to specific problems, to produce data sheets describing maintenance treatments and to provide adequate assistance when supply specifications need to be compiled.

Use of pioneering tools and media plus experience acquired during our many years in the business enable us to provide advice about the analysis methods and processes. Evaluations can also be made with customized methods, depending on how the materials are to be used and the requirements involved.

Studies and research into product quality issues:

The laboratory is explicitly dedicated to the problems encountered in the world of fabrics, from the clothing manufacturing aspect. The analysis procedures are followed by detailed reports containing the significant data and values besides comments about the fitness of the product, also in relation to treatments on the finished garment.

SAMPLE SERVICE

In the sample department, which is fully outfitted with dedicated equipment, highly specialized staff members deal with all the phases, from receiving the materials to setting up the process and checking the result the customer wishes to obtain with the treatment required.
Well aware of the customers’ needs and knowing how crucially important it is to obtain quality responses in real time, our staff members proceed as quickly as possible but without impairing the accuracy with which their work is carried out.
If the customer requires, the sample garments can be pressed and packaged for delivery.

SOFTWARE

To assist so many departments and processes in a synergic way, we needed absolutely unique management and monitoring software able to use the data from various different sources. This is why the software was developed by an associated company able to provide, amongst other things, interfaces allowing us to exchange data with the customers’ management systems. This means that our computerized systems can dialogue with those of our customers. Some of the programs we’ve created have been wholly adopted by companies linked to ours.
