Dyeing
fibre blends
Tintoria Emiliana is one of the few enterprises
able to dye garments made from different fibres, even coated or
coupled ones, in a controlled and reproducible way.
The double dyeing processes can be carried out by either dyeing
all the fibres the same shade or by differentiating the colour
for each fibre.
The main combinations with which Tintoria
Emiliana has developed specific technical skills are cotton (or
any other cellulosic fibre) with nylon, polyester, wool, elitè,
silk, or wool with polyester, nylon, elitè and silk.
“SHADY” TREATMENT
The previously dyed garment is “dirtied”
by applying colour differently on the surface, depending on its
construction.
The contrast between the two shades is highly evident, especially
around pockets, seams or other applications.
“DOUBLE OLD” TREATMENT
A particular dichroic “vintage”
effect obtained by combining two different shades of colour, one
that goes deeper into the fibre and a second, more superficial
hue. Can be enhanced by using garments made of blended fabrics
and making the most out of the different colouring affinities
of the fibres.
